Parents often express their love by giving gifts to their children, and that is a wonderful thing. However, it is equally important to ensure that along with material gifts, children are also given strong values and संस्कार (moral upbringing).

This is even more essential because without good values, children may invite difficulties into their own lives and sometimes become a source of trouble for others as well—just as we have seen in stories from our timeless scriptures.

True nurturing lies not just in what we give them, but in what we teach them to become.
