Spreading the Light of Education for Adivasi Children
In a region like Jharkhand, long known for the echoes of fear, violence, and gunshots, lies the tribal belts of Rukka and Khunti. These areas, once surrounded only by dense forests, mud paths, and thatched roofs, offered no space for childhood to flourish.
Children here could neither play freely nor build a bond with books. Due to the Naxal influence, neither did the government establish educational systems here nor was any awareness about education ever spread. Social backwardness and extremism pushed these innocent lives into the dark corners of oblivion.
Foundation of the Adivasi Public School: A Seed of Hope
Where there were no walls, a school of dreams was built
In the year 2000, under the guidance of the Vishwa Jagriti Mission and His Holiness Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj, the foundation of the Adivasi Public School was laid in Rukka and Khunti. This school was not built with grandeur but with the bricks of service and compassion.
During its construction, the parents of local tribal children were encouraged to send their children to school. They were assured that their children would receive nutritious meals and a safe environment here.
