On this day, Vishwa Jagriti Mission organizes satsang, bhajan, programs and yoga activities with the blessings of Param Pujya Shri Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj. On this day, divine rituals like Guru Paduka Pujan are also organized in the ashram. Guru's padukas are a symbol of the divine presence of the Guru, by worshipping which the seeker experiences the divine energy of the Guru and receives the blessings of the Guru.
In Sanatan culture, the touch of Guru's padukas is considered equivalent to touching the Guru's feet. On the day of the monthly full moon of every month, all devotees can get the privilege of touching Guru Paduka by participating in Guru Paduka Pujan and awaken their good fortune chakra by establishing mutual harmony with the divine energy of the Guru.

The day of Purnima is considered extremely sacred and full of energy in the Sanatan tradition. On this day, the Moon God in his complete form balances with the energy of the universe. In such a situation, this day becomes especially more effective for spiritual practice.
Guru Purnima is celebrated to honor and express deep gratitude towards spiritual teachers, or Gurus, who guide us from darkness (ignorance) to light (knowledge and wisdom). The word "Guru" is derived from Sanskrit where Gu means darkness and Ru means remover — thus, a Guru is the one who removes the darkness of ignorance from our lives.
This sacred festival falls on the full moon (Purnima) day in the Hindu month of Ashadha (June–July), and holds special significance in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It is believed that on this day, Maharshi Vyasa, the great sage and author of the Mahabharata, was born.
He is also credited with compiling the Vedas and writing the 18 Puranas, and is regarded as one of the greatest Gurus in Indian tradition. Hence, Guru Purnima is also known as Vyasa Purnima, and devotees pay respect to both their personal Gurus and to Sage Vyasa.
