A Call to Awaken a Vibrant Culture and Eternal Civilization

India is not just a landmass, but a symbol of eternal civilization. For centuries, its culture has upheld humanity and shown the path of duty. However, the storm of modernity that has arisen today has shattered family education and social values, necessitating the rebirth of eternal values and traditions. To this end, Vishwa Jagriti Mission has launched the Sanatan Sanskriti Jagran Abhiyan. This campaign is not only a pledge to revive the Gurukul education system but also a movement to connect families, society, and the nation with values, education, and service.

The purpose of the Sankhnaad of Sanatan Culture

  • Renaissance of Sanskar and Moral Education: Connecting children and youth with the Vedas, Upanishads, Gita, and Puranas
  • Establishment of the Gurukul Education System: Ensuring the holistic development of children by integrating Vedic education with modern education
  • Cultural Awakening Festival: Spreading awareness in society through a confluence of saints, scholars, and thinkers
  • 108 Bal Sanskar Kendras: Opening small Vedic nursery-like centers across the country to teach children the values of life
  • Establishment of 10 New Gurukuls: Within the next five years, the Vishwa Jagriti Mission will establish 10 new Gurukuls in rural and urban areas, providing free modern and Vedic education.
  • Expansion of Spiritual Consciousness: Bringing balance and peace to the lives of youth and children through yoga, meditation, and service

Sanatan culture Gurukul system

The Gurukul holds a supreme place in India's educational tradition. It was not only a center for acquiring knowledge but also a laboratory for shaping life. Education in the Gurukul was imparted under the guidance of a Guru, where students were not only taught scriptures but also inculcated self-discipline, restraint, service, and values. A Gurukul not only taught a scholar but also developed into a cultured, responsible, and self-reliant citizen.

This is why, from ancient India to universities like Takshashila and Nalanda, the Gurukul tradition has made India a world leader. However, over time, due to various external factors and influences, education has become limited to job placement and competition. In such a context, the Gurukul system's importance once again increases because it provides a balance between knowledge, values, and character through education.

The Need for the Gurukul System in the Present Times

Today's education system is primarily limited to exams and jobs. Children gain knowledge, but the development of life values and character is neglected. As a result, the young generation is struggling with stress, depression, and imbalance. Material luxury and moral decay are increasing in society. Family bonds and cultural traditions are weakening. Children are becoming disconnected from their own roots and traditions.

Sanatan Sanskriti Jagran Mahotsav

When a campaign is not limited to mere ideas or resolutions but becomes a medium to directly inspire society, it takes the form of a festival. The Sanatan Sanskriti Jagran Mahotsav is a declaration of this energy and consciousness, through which an effort was made to reach the Sanatan Sanskriti Jagran Abhiyan at the national level. This Mahotsav was not just a festival but the initial manifesto of the movement. Presenting various glimpses of scriptures, culture, and society, it conveyed the message that Sanatan Sanskriti is not merely a tradition but the foundation of life.

The Sanatan Sanskriti Jagran Mahotsav was held at Anand Dham Ashram in Delhi between May 2nd and 4th. Various saints, scholars, academics, and social workers from around the world participated. Thousands of devotees, guru-devotees, and culture lovers from across the country witnessed the event.
