Kamda Ekadashi (Chaitra Shukla Paksha)

Kamda Ekadashi is considered extremely sacred and is believed to grant immediate spiritual benefits. According to the scriptures, observing this Ekadashi destroys even unintentional sins and brings peace, good fortune, and spiritual upliftment into one’s life. This fast is especially renowned for liberation from sins and fulfillment of desires.

 

By observing Kamda Ekadashi, negative qualities such as lust, anger, and greed are reduced. It enhances harmony in married life and brings happiness and prosperity to the family. This Ekadashi is also regarded as highly effective for blessings of progeny, fulfillment of heartfelt wishes, and removal of obstacles in life.

 

Kamda Ekadashi (observed in the Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month) is celebrated every year on the 11th lunar day of the bright fortnight in the Hindu month of Chaitra (March–April).
