Shakti Worship – Navdurga Puja is Highly Auspicious During Nav Samvatsar Navratri
The new Hindu year, known as Roudra Nav Samvatsar, begins on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. In 2026, the auspicious festival of Navratri and the beginning of the Nav Samvatsar will start on Thursday, 19 March 2026. With the start of the Nav Samvatsar, the Hindu New Year begins for followers of Sanatan Dharma. During this sacred period, devotees worship Adi Shakti Durga, and on Chaitra Shukla Navami, the holy festival of Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Shri Ram, bringing new enthusiasm and joy into life.
Among the four Navratri festivals celebrated throughout the year, Vasantik (Chaitra) Navratri and Sharadiya Navratri hold special significance. The Navratri that falls in the month of Chaitra is known as Vasantik Navratri. In 2026, Chaitra Vasantik Navratri will be observed from 19 March to 27 March 2026.
In the creation of the entire universe, the Supreme Father God's Consciousness (Chit Shakti) inspires and shapes its form. This Consciousness is addressed by three names:
Shakti (divine power) manifests in many forms such as mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, wife, devotion, strength, knowledge, wisdom, faith, service, and support. This divine energy is present everywhere and at all times. To maintain purity, good values, and harmonious relationships in life, everyone should perform Shakti worship and cultivate positivity through spiritual practices.
All the initiated disciples of our revered Sadgurudev Shri Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj, living in India and abroad, observe fasting, Guru Mantra chanting, and worship during the Navratri of both the spring (Vasant) and autumn (Sharad) seasons to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga. Through these spiritual practices, the grace of Bhagwati Durga, the divine motherly power, and the blessings of Sadgurudev Ji remain with all of us always.
May every initiated disciple of our revered Sadgurudev be blessed with creative and positive energy. Therefore, by becoming a Yajman (devotional participant) in the worship during Vasantik Navratri, one can receive the divine grace and blessings of Maa Bhavani.
With the blessings of our revered HH Shri Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj, the "Yugrishi Pooja evam Anushthan Kendra" at Ananddham Ashram, New Delhi, will be conducting the worship of the nine forms of Maa Navdurga in the classical manner throughout the Navratris from March 19th to 27th, 2026. Interested devotees can become online/offline hosts and receive the blessing of fulfillment of their wishes by worshipping Maa Durga.
This most sacred "Shakti Aradhana" ritual and Goddess worship will be broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube from 6:30 am.
Note: Special devotees who wish to be present at the feet of Goddess Durga for the entire Navratri festival or for a single day, please send your photo so that it can be presented at the feet of Goddess Durga for special blessings.

Frequently asked questions
Considering auspicious times, days, and constellations increases the benefits, but if time is not available, simple, devoted worship by the devotee is also acceptable.
Yes. Other forms of the Goddess, such as Maha Saraswati, Mahalakshmi, or the ten Mahavidyas, can be included. The methods and forms of worship can vary.
In Gurukriti, chanting the mantra in its original language (often Sanskrit or its original name) is considered best because the sound energy provides power. However, if you do not know Sanskrit, it is better to chant with devotion and feeling.
The primary purpose of fasting is purification of the mind and self-control. If fasting is not possible, continue worship and devotion with simple fasting, light food, sincerity of mind, and a spirit of service.
