Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha (Padma Ekadashi / Padmini Ekadashi)
Padma Ekadashi, also known as Padmini Ekadashi, is especially believed to bestow good fortune, prosperity, and fulfillment of desires. As described in the Puranas, during the Satya Yuga, King Ketuman, son of Lord Kubera, performed severe penance to attain heaven and spiritual accomplishment but did not succeed. At that time, Sage Narada appeared and advised him to observe the Padma Ekadashi vrat. The king observed the fast with deep faith and devotion, as a result of which all his sins were destroyed, his wishes were fulfilled, and he attained divine realms.
Observing this vrat brings wealth, prosperity, marital happiness, removal of obstacles, and spiritual upliftment. This Ekadashi is regarded as one that grants rare and extraordinary spiritual merit.
Padma Ekadashi (also known as Parivartini Ekadashi or Jal Jhoolni Ekadashi) is observed on the Ekadashi tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada.
