Lord Ram, the Pandavas, Luv-Kush, and Lord Krishna received their formal education in a Gurukul under the guidance of a Guru and even today, the Gurukul system holds a great significance.

Vedic Age & Gurukul System
The Gurukul System was more widespread during the Vedic age where students were taught diverse subjects. The education was largely based on Vedas, grammar, the study of nature, logic, reasoning, science and other skills that are necessary for an occupation.
