Five Things That Bring Prosperity
One of the most auspicious festivals of India, Diwali, is linked with happiness, wealth, and prosperity. The celebrations literally lighten the whole world and everyone gets in the mood of celebration. In India, people celebrate the day by illuminating earthen lamps, enjoying fireworks (green firecrackers to protect the environment), sharing gifts, and worshipping Lord Ganesh & Maa Lakshmi. While various legends are associated with Diwali, the essence of all the stories is the same—to rejoice with the Inner bliss. So, celebrate this Diwali with happiness and do these five things for bringing prosperity to your house.
1. Cleanliness Attracts Riches
Clean every nook and corner of your house to ensure that the immobile energies are refreshed. A clean and well-decorated house attracts Maa Lakshmi. Start cleaning by uncluttering and for that donate stuff that you don’t need anymore. By cleaning your house you are making way for novel things in your life that bring prosperity.
2. With Wisdom Comes Wealth
Worship Lord Ganesh (Wisdom) and Maa Lakshmi (Wealth) with devotion. Install the idols at home, shops, and offices, and offer your worship.
3. Illuminate 27 Earthen Lamps
While worshipping Lord Ganesh and Maa Lakshmi, illuminate 27 earthen lamps to gratify 27 ZZnNakshatras of Diwali. Keep one big earthen lamp in the center for Maa Lakshmi. Most importantly, use pure oil in the lamps and not wax. And also, while worshipping, keep the illuminated wick in the horizontal position, not in the standing position.
4. Worship with Kheel (Puffed Rice) and Bataashe (Sugar Drops)
Offer your worship with puffed rice and sugar drops as bhog. Puffed rice is the symbol of opulence that brings in sweetness in relationships. This offering is the easiest way to please Maa Lakshmi and invite riches to home.
5. Love Your Family for a Happy Heart
Spread love in your family so that you may offer your worship with a blissful heart. Happiness is at the core of prosperity. And Maa Lakshmi never leaves those houses where people remain happy under all circumstances which is possible only through love. So, celebrate Diwali with a blissful heart and follow the rituals to please Lord Ganesh and Maa Lakshmi. You will surely gain wisdom and wealth in your life.
A very Happy Diwali!
