Childhood:
His Holiness Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj was born in Saharanpur on 2nd May 1955 in a Brahmin family. Swami Vijendra Muni Ji initiated his grace Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj to deep Meditation and Yoga at the tender age of ten years. He studied the religious scriptures through Gurukul method of education. He received his Postgraduate degrees in Sanskrit and Hindi.
He spent most of his childhood in the vicinity of Nature. The trees and mountains seem to bade and attract him. He would silently sit and ponder or chant mantras. The purity and beauty of nature so intimately engulfed him that he himself became pure and attractive like Mother Nature. He developed a distinguished way and style even during his childhood days to deliver thoughts, experience and knowledge acquired from epics.
Spiritual Journey:
After completing his education young Guruji disappeared in the Himalayas in the vicinity of Mother Nature. There he roamed amongst the saints and sages who were living in recluse and austerity, meditating since long. He lived in their company for a long time, himself performing meditation and other spiritual occult practices in the Himalayas.
As far as his spiritual journey is concerned, he enjoyed special blessings from two great saints Swami Sadanandji and Swami Muktanandji, who lived in Himalayan caves in seclusion and austerity. At Uttarkashi, he acquired perfect knowledge of traditional and Tibetan culture with the sight and knowledge of deepest spiritual truth and the revelation of divine mysteries. This was possible by prolonged Japa, remembrance of God and meditation in past and present births by him.
At Uttarkashi, His Holiness experienced the initial feeling of divine bliss. Only after tasting the Divine Nectar and realization of the Supreme, His Holiness SudhanshujiMaharaj attained Gurupad (master’s status) and started giving (initiation), thereafter kindling the wave of spirituality throughout the world.
He experienced many supernatural phenomena’s. He engaged himself totally in the study of scriptures and practicing Yoga in aloofness. The personality, which ultimately developed and emerged, was very attractive and impressive Hindu evangelist in pure and unsullied Indian dress. His face reflects the celestial aura.
